Restoring Wholeness and Flourishing—One Breath at a Time

Do you find yourself unable to quit replaying the past? Do you long for a life of hope and flourishing, but pain and emotional weight still linger?

It’s normal to feel uncertain about where to begin. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed, and spiritually sensitive approach that considers your whole self in the process: mind, body, and soul.

Therapy

Therapy is ideal for working through many aspects of your story in a way that feels paced and that benefits from the full scope of approaches we offer. This clinical mental health treatment can help you understand what’s going on in your body after trauma and find a gentle path forward. Rest assured that our clinicians are spiritually sensitive and honor how trauma has impacted your mind, body, and soul.

Therapy may be right for you if…

  • You need a contained space to metabolize parts of your story that are keeping you stuck.

  • You want to do the deeper work to experience the fullness of life.

  • You envision a life with improved relationships, greater authenticity, healing from trauma and hurt, or recovery from anxiety and depression.

  • Our therapists are licensed to provide therapy only in the state of Kentucky. This means therapy clients must be in Kentucky for all sessions.

Most clients choose to have in-person appointments at our office in Louisville, Kentucky near I-64 and Hurstbourne Parkway. Telehealth appointments are also available to clients throughout the state of Kentucky using our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

  • Most clients have one 45- to 50-minute session per week; however, our recommended frequency will depend on your unique needs.

We will schedule you for the same day and time each week. This helps to create consistency and allows you to plan around your therapy sessions.

  • Colleen Ramser’s rate is $165 per session. The rate for graduate-level therapy interns under Colleen’s direct supervision is $60 per session.

We are committed to providing you with the highest quality treatment. Unfortunately, insurance companies frequently require the release of client records, limit the care clients receive, and require diagnosis of a mental illness/disorder—even if a client does not have one. As a result, we do not participate in insurance networks.

We do, however, accept payment through HSA and FSA cards. We also provide an automated “superbill” each month that you may submit to your insurance company if your policy reimburses you for out-of-network providers.

  • We will ask you to complete some electronic forms prior to your first session. This enables us to spend your first session focusing on your personal background, the areas of concern that led to seeking help, and your goals for therapy.

A Life-Saving and Life-Giving Experience

“I came to Colleen at a point in my life when I could no longer hold up under the weight of the trauma and abuse I was experiencing. As I have worked with her, I have gained strength, clarity, and confidence. She has helped me heal deep wounds and understand my worth and value. It hasn’t always been easy, but my experience with her has been life-saving and life-giving. She truly is a gift.”

Therapy Intensives

A therapy intensive is ideal if you long for a sacred and distraction-free space to heal from trauma or other wounds. You may find it tough to get away from home, work, or school for regular therapy sessions. Or you may live outside Kentucky but still want to work through your story one-on-one with Colleen using EMDR, somatic experiencing, and internal family systems. A therapy intensive can give you the focused and intentional time you need to heal.

A therapy intensive may be right for you if…

  • You want to feel unburdened from the weight of trauma.

  • You are ready to deal with the difficult parts of your story and do deep soul work.

  • You crave healing but are tired of watching the therapy hour go by and having to wait until the next week to do more work.

  • Colleen is licensed to provide therapy only in the state of Kentucky. This means all therapy intensives take place in Kentucky—specifically, in the Louisville, Kentucky metro area (Eastern Time).

  • Therapy intensives are one-on-one experiences scheduled based upon availability. They typically last between two and four days:

    • Two-day intensive: 12 hours of therapy (14 hours total)

    • Three-day intensive: 18 hours of therapy (21 hours total)

    • Four-day intensive: 24 hours of therapy (28 hours total)

Colleen will recommend an intensive length after assessing your needs and goals during the pre-intensive consultation.

  • The cost of a therapy intensive depends on its length:

    • Two-day intensive (14 hours total): $2,600

    • Three-day intensive (21 hours total): $3,800

    • Four-day intensive (28 hours total): $5,000

A $500 deposit is required to schedule your intensive. The balance of the cost is due at least two weeks prior to the start of your intensive.

    The pre-intensive consultation and post-intensive follow-up each cost $165.

Traveling clients are responsible for their own airfare and accommodations. All clients are responsible for their own meals. We are happy to provide suggestions upon request.

  • Because Colleen is setting aside this time just for you and investing time to prepare for your intensive, our cancellation policy is as follows:

    • At least 14 days’ notice: We issue a 100% refund, minus a $200 administrative fee.

    • At least 7 days’ notice: We issue a 50% refund, minus a $200 administrative fee.

    • Fewer than 7 days’ notice: We do not issue a refund.

  • First, we will ask you to complete some electronic forms and Colleen will meet with you for a 50-minute pre-intensive consultation. This will help us get to know one another, assess your needs and goals, and ultimately determine if an intensive will be a good fit. This style of intensive therapy can be adapted for most every client; however, Colleen will provide resources and potential referrals if needed.

At the start of your intensive, we will provide you with a journal and pen to record any feelings, thoughts, memories, dreams, etc. that arise between sessions. After each session, Colleen recommends you stay free from distraction and engage in activities that are calming or energizing to your mind, body, and soul. She also recommends you refrain from alcohol for the duration of your intensive to allow you to experience the full benefits of therapy.

After you return home, Colleen will meet with you for a 50-minute follow-up session. This session can be scheduled up to six months after your intensive.

Feel Renewed & Grateful for Healing

“I signed up for a therapy intensive to heal from terrible abuse by a pastor. Colleen held space for my emotions, stayed attuned to my needs throughout our sessions, and helped me unravel things that had me stuck for several years. She was professional while also maintaining compassion and empathy, and I felt safe to process from the start of our first session. I left feeling renewed, and since then I have been able to tolerate and process things that would have really triggered me before I did my intensive work with her. I am so grateful for the healing I experienced!"
