Services for Clinicians

Restoring Wholeness and Flourishing—One Client at a Time

Becoming a skilled mental health clinician is about more than just accumulating knowledge. It requires developing intuition and cultivating self-awareness, especially when working with trauma.

I help clinicians gain confidence and competence in addressing trauma and spirituality in their practice. My approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to your needs—whether you’re an intern, a newly licensed clinician, or a seasoned professional. We’ll explore tools and strategies you can engage as you help clients move toward healing.

Case Consultation

Do you need guidance with complex trauma cases or integrating spiritual dynamics into therapy? I provide case consultation for clinicians looking to enhance their skills and find clarity in challenging situations. Together, we’ll unpack client concerns, explore trauma-informed strategies, and address elements of faith in a way that aligns with your clinical approach. My goal is to support you in delivering compassionate care while helping you grow as a confident, capable therapist.

Case consultation may be right for you if…

  • You enjoy exploring to find the best clinical approach.

  • You want to build a community of support to prevent burnout.

  • You desire improved clinical outcomes for your clients.

  • Case consultation is available for individuals worldwide, and consultees may choose to have appointments in person or by video. In-person appointments take place in the Louisville, Kentucky metro area. Video appointments take place using Zoom.

  • Most case consultation sessions last 45-50 minutes; however, longer sessions can be scheduled depending on your unique needs. Many consultees wish to schedule a series of sessions, and flexible packages are available.

  • Colleen’s rate is $165 per 45- to 50-minute session.

There is a travel fee of $165 per hour (pro-rated in 15-minute increments) for in-person appointments that take place in the Louisville, Kentucky metro area but not at Colleen’s office (near I-64 and Hurstbourne Parkway).

  • We will ask you to complete an electronic form prior to your consultation session. We may also provide you with some tips to prepare for the session.

If we mutually agree that it would be beneficial for Colleen to meet with the case subject and/or any collaterals, we may ask them to complete an electronic form prior to the meeting.

Trainings Consistently Receive Positive Feedback

“Colleen has provided domestic violence training for our agency for several years, and we consistently receive very positive evaluations from our staff who attend. Colleen is very knowledgeable and has great training skills which she uses to engage the participants, whether it is a virtual or in-person training. She uses great care to facilitate discussion around this difficult topic. We know Colleen updates the training as needed to stay current with what is trending. She is a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful to have her as a resource for our staff!”

Internships

Are you a graduate student seeking a meaningful and supportive therapy internship? I provide a collaborative space where you’ll gain hands-on experience with trauma (especially spiritual trauma and domestic abuse) and holistic healing. I value motivated interns who are eager to learn, grow, and refine their skills in a safe, encouraging environment. Together, we’ll build your confidence, enhance your understanding of trauma-informed care, and equip you to make a lasting impact in the lives of your future clients.

An internship may be right for you if…

  • You are eager to learn how best to help your clients, not to do busywork.

  • You want to advance in your career—even before graduating.

  • You desire to grow in self-awareness, knowledge, and balance.

  • Interns will be marketed on our website in advance of their start date so as to build up a waitlist of clients. Interns are also expected to grow their client base by networking.

  • Interns may choose to see clients in person or by video. In-person appointments take place at Colleen’s office in Louisville, Kentucky near I-64 and Hurstbourne Parkway. Video appointments take place using our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

  • Most interns have one 45- to 50-minute supervision session per week; however, our recommended frequency will depend on your unique needs.

We will schedule you for the same day and time each week. This helps to create consistency and allows you to plan around your supervision sessions.

  • Internships are unpaid. However, there is no cost for marketing, office space/platform, supervision, or EMR access and training.

The client rate for interns is typically $50-60 per session.

  • After we review your materials, we may invite you to participate in an extensive interview process. If accepted, interns will participate in a thorough onboarding process, including training in our EMR (Simple Practice), practice policies, and best practices for working with clients.

A privilege to Sit Under Colleen’s Teaching

“Colleen is an extremely skilled therapist and supervisor who also portrays a lot of warmth and empathy. It was a privilege to sit under her teaching, especially in regard to her specializations in trauma-informed EMDR and somatic experiencing. Colleen also provided a lot of guidance in how to run a practice that both serves the client and allows the therapist longevity in the field by practicing self-care and having automated systems in the practice. I couldn’t recommend Colleen more!”
